My Story

I've been interested in health and wellness throughout my life. Most of my childhood and young adult years I was a vegetarian and whole food plant based for a couple of years in my 20's when it wasn't as easy as it is now.  I have been fortunate to enjoy good health and stable weight throughout my life but as we age, most of us cannot take that for granted.  I've decided it is better to try to prevent disease than to cure it.  So since 2013 I have been completely plant based and love eating this way.

Educationally, I am a registered nurse and have a degree in Home Economics Education.  I have taught at the junior high, high school and college levels in the areas of nutrition, health, family studies and child development. I have a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from Dr. T. Colin Campbell's Center for Nutrition Studies through Cornell University.

I believe the journey to a whole food plant based way of eating is well worth taking. Some of the advantages of this diet include more energy and the prevention or even reversal of many health issues tied to the standard American diet. I found that through my proactive study of the topic I am continually inspired, and a natural outgrowth is the desire to help others reach optimal health.

I hope this website will be helpful to you in finding resources that will give you inspiration, knowledge and the tools to make positive, healthful changes in your life. God bless you on this journey!

To your best health,

Pam
