Why the Eat More Plants Website
When people ask me why I'm a "vegan" many also want to know if it's hard to do; what I eat; where I get my protein; how I transitioned to eating this way and what resources can I recommend for them to learn more. I found myself writing lists over and over of websites to visit, books to read and documentaries to watch -- and I realized I needed a website with links to resources that have been helpful to me. Thus, EatMorePlants.me was launched.

This website has been created to be a resource and source of inspiration for those seeking a healthier way of eating and living -- based on a whole food plant based diet. Here you will find links to other great websites, documentaries and other resources I have discovered on my food journey. I hope this site makes it easy for you to learn about the science behind plant based eating, find helpful steps to going plant based, try some of my favorite recipes and be inspired to make this a lifelong lifestyle choice.

Vegan vs. Whole Food Plant Based?
I like to use the phrase whole food plant based eating (WFPB) because it more accurately describes what I believe is the most healthful way to eat. You can be vegan, avoid all animal products, but still be unhealthy in your food choices (potato chips, french fries, vegan chocolate cake etc.). Whole food plant based eating is more descriptive but it takes time to tell people what that means. It's not a household phrase....YET!

Where do I get my protein?

The same place some of the largest and strongest mammals on earth get theirs...PLANTS!

I choose to get my protein first hand, from plants rather than second-hand from the cow that got its protein from plants. Read more....
